International News: Mexican authorities find 2,000 fentanyl pills baked into bread rolls

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Tuesday, Mexican authorities found plastic bags with 2,000 fentanyl pills that were apparently baked into traditional bread rolls, the Associated Press reports.

Mexican authorities believe that drug cartels are attempting to send shipments of drugs in packages of traditional Mexican products.

A trained dog alerted authorities to a suspicious package at an express mail delivery company in Culiacan, Sinaloa.

Inside the box, police found packages of corn chips and 4 traditional bread rolls.

When they cut into rolls, they found about 500 pills apparently baked inside each.
