By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Sunday, U.S. automaker, Tesla said that it will assist Chinese police investigation into the crash that killed 2 people, Voiceof America reports.
The accident on November 5 involved Tesla’s Model Y car and media reports say 2 people died and 3 were injured when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
“Police are currently seeking a third-party appraisal agency to identify the truth behind this accident and we will actively provide any necessary assistance,” Tesla said.
China is Tesla’s second-largest market and the cause of the accident has not been ascertained.
Several videos of the vehicle driving at a high speed went viral.
Reports say that Tesla has faced claims of brake failure in China before.
