Warehouse worker says Asian business man beat him with a metal pipe and tried to shoot him

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have detained an Asian businessman for attacking a man with a metal pipe and a firearm.

The victim, 27-year-old Marlon Gutierrez, said that around 10:45 a.m. he was working at the Nandos Wholesale warehouse when she saw the Asian man in a red shirt coming towards him with a squared iron pipe.

The attacker then swung the pipe at Gutierrez’s head, but he blocked it with his arm. After hitting Gutierrez several times the man then reached into his pants and pulled out a firearm.

Gutierrez said that he ran for his life and was shot at twice by his attacker but managed to escape without being shot.

Police have since detained the man in question; however, he has not been formally charged with any offense.
