Since then, the team at the Belize Zoo has been working arduously to clean and repair damages.

Today, Director of Tourism, Evan Tillett presented a cheque for $10,000 to The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center (TBZTEC).

The donation will assist with the restoration works needed at the Belize Zoo.

Representing the TBZTEC were Jamal Andrewin- Bohn, Conservation Program Manager, and Diana Perez, Tropical Education Center Manager.

“The Belize Zoo is a cherished attraction beloved by Belizeans and tourists alike. Therefore, the Belize Tourism Board is happy to be able to contribute to the rebuilding efforts,” the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) noted.
