Belize Weather: Weather turns cloudy and rainy

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A fresh and moist northeasterly airflow prevails, supporting cloudy skies and outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be generally cloudy with some sunny breaks and mostly cloudy tonight. A few showers, isolated thunderstorms, and periods of rain occur countrywide and especially over the south, before decreasing slightly by this evening and then redeveloping over most areas, especially along the coast.

High temperatures reach 86 degrees along the coast, 89 degrees inland and 78 degrees in the hills today, and 76 degrees along the coast, 71 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills tonight.

Winds are northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is choppy to moderate; a small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers or thunderstorms.

Tides will be low at 11:37 this morning and 11:32 tonight and high at 5:44 this evening. Sunset occurs at 5:16 this evening and sunrise on Friday morning is at a minute to six.

Similar weather conditions can be expected through Friday.
