International News: 7 people dead after gas plant hit by Russian missile strikes

Posted: Thursday, November 17, 2022. 3:44 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky says that 7 people died after a gas plant was hit by Russian missile strikes in Vilnyyansk, the BBC reports.

Russian missile attacks continue hitting more energy installations and civilian buildings.

President Zelensky accused Russia of destroying his people’s supplies of electricity and heat.

Moscow is now accusing Kyiv of “unwillingness” to negotiate.

One of Ukraine’s largest cities, Dnipro, just north of Zaporizhzhia, was among those targeted early on Thursday.

In addition, thousands of homes remain without power and water due to the massive attacks.

President Zelensky says that Russia doesn’t want peace, but instead was bringing his compatriots “only as much pain and suffering as possible”.
