University of Belize and Ministry of Blue Economy sign MoU for institutional cooperation

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the University of Belize and the Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU is to establish an institutional cooperation agreement between the two parties to share knowledge, expertise, data and information in order to strengthen the common interests and respective missions of the institutions.

The MoU was signed by the President, Dr. Vicent Palacio and Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation, Andre Perez at the UB Belmopan Campus.

Guest speaker, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Francis Fonseca emphasized the importance on preparing our students for the jobs available as education must be tied to the country’s development.
