By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested and charged four men in connection with a robbery that took place in Belize City on Wednesday.
Yesterday officers formally charged 23-year-old Marquise Conorque, 23-year-old Nolbert Smith, 24-year-old Keenan Castillo, and 26-year-old Tareef Westby for “Attempted Robbery and Participation in Criminal Activity in Association with Gang.”
Conorque and Smith were additionally charged with a single count each of, “Being the Member of a Gang”, “Kept Firearm without a License”, “Kept Ammunition without a License”, and “Possession of Firearm for the Benefit of a Gang”.
Meanwhile, Castillo was charged with, “Being the Member of a Gang, Kept Firearm without a License, Kept Ammunition without a License, Possession of Firearm for the Benefit of a Gang, and Possession of a Firearm with Serial Number Removed”.
Westby’s only additional charge was “Being the Member of a Gang.”
