By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Altitude battle Progresso at 8:00 pm at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence on Saturday for a ticket to the Premier League of Belize Final.
Altitude will be without their captain Dellon ‘Dee Breezy ‘ Torres, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear to his right knee after scoring the opening goal in the first semifinal in Orange Walk last Sunday.
Altitude go into the second leg with a 2-1 lead after winning the first match in Orange Walk on goals by Torres and Brazilian Aloisio Texeira. Dedron Baptist scored for Progresso.
Altitude are hoping their star player, Colombian Andrés Orozco, delivers tonight. Progresso for their part are counting on Zamir Bonilla. Both have been lying low over the last few games.
Verdes and the San Pedro Pirates play their second semifinal on Sunday at 4:00 pm at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio. The drew 2-2 in their first match at San Pedro last Saturday.
