Prime Minister participates in Garifuna Settlement Day activities in Dangriga

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister John Briceno is in Dangriga participating in the official ceremonies for Garifuna Settlement Day.

Many Belizeans also joined in celebrating Garifuna Settlement Day participating in the Yurumein, mass, ceremony and drumming.

“Our diversity and richness of culture makes us strong. Our inclusiveness and peaceful coexistence makes us unique.  We are proud of the rhythm and rhyme that makes us Belizean,” PM Briceno stated.

PM Briceno encouraged Belizeans to enjoy the foods and flavors, music and song, drumming and dance of this cultural celebration.
