International News: 5 dead and 25 more injured after shooting at LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Authorities in Colorado are investigating a shooting that occurred just before midnight on Saturday at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado that left 5 people dead and 25 more injured.

A 22-year-old gunman opened fire at Club Q and killed 5 people, CNN reports.

The suspect has been identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich, authorities say.

When he entered the club, he immediately opened fire before 2 people inside the club confronted him and fought him.

At this time, authorities are investigating whether the attack was a hate crime, noting Club Q’s relationship with the LGBTQ community.
