Posted: Tuesday, November 22, 2022. 3:44 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness indicate that there has been another COVID-19-related death.

In Belize, 688 people have died due to COVID-19.

There were 24 new confirmed cases and 14 active cases for the period of November 15 to 22, 2022.

Over 50% of the population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

An unvaccinated person is 26 times more likely to die compared to someone who is fully vaccinated.

Regardless of the variant, the same health measures protect us from getting COVID-19, the ministry reminds us.
