By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Morocco managed to pull off a 0-0 draw against World Cup sub-champions Croatia in their first game in Group F at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor in front of 59,407 fans.
As much as Luka Modric tried, Croatia couldn’t break the Morocco deadlock.
For Morocco, the 0-0 tie is a good start but not so for the defending sub-champions who expected a better score, particularly ahead of matches against Belgium and Canada who play later today at 1:00 pm.
Later today, Germany will play Japan at 7:00 am at the Khalifa International Stadium in Ar-Rayyan in Group E.
Costa Rica match up against one of the favorites, Spain, at 10:00 am at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha in Group E as well while Canada close the day against Belgium at 1:00 pm at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Ar-Rayyan.
