By Aaron Humes: Reports just in to Breaking Belize News (BBN) are that shots were fired a short time ago in downtown Belize City.

The incident is said to have taken place near the Swing Bridge and involved police and a reported mental patient.

One person is confirmed dead but other details are still being gathered.
