Man charged with drug trafficking said that he intended to use the marijuana to celebrate his birthday

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man who police charged with drug trafficking said that he didn’t intend to share the drugs with anyone.

Rudolph Craig immediately pleaded guilty when he appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply to another.

He pleaded guilty with an explanation, saying he had no intention of sharing it with anyone but rather was going to use the marijuana during the celebration of his birthday

He was fined $700 plus the $5 cost of court which he must pay by February 28, 2023, or face three months in jail.

On November 14, police sighted Craig quickly riding away from them. They followed him and conducted a search finding the marijuana on him.
