Minister of Foreign Affairs pays tribute to Simon Bolivar in Venezuela

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eamon Courtenay arrived in Venezuela.

Courtenay’s visit is part of an official tour which is being led by Prime Minister John Briceno and a delegation from Belize and will feature discussions with Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro.

Courtenay was welcomed by Rander Pena, Venezuela’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Courtenay visited the National Pantheon and paid tribute to Simón Bolivar, a hero of the Venezuelan Homeland. 

“The people and governments of Belize and Venezuela share a broad and enduring relationship which has included cooperation in multiple areas of mutual benefit,” a statement from the Government of Belize said.
