International News: Mexican authorities issue arrest warrant for U.S. citizen accused of killing Shanquella Robinson

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mexican authorities have issued an arrest warrant for an American woman for the death of Shanquella Robinson, Business Insider reports.

The suspect is believed to be one of the friends she had traveled to Mexico with on vacation. 

Robinson died on October 29, 2022, while she was on vacation with 6 friends in Cabo, Mexico.

The “friends” initially blamed alcohol poisoning but an autopsy revealed the cause of her death to be a severe spinal cord or neck injury. 

The death of Shanquella garnered national attention after a video surfaced online of an attack on Shanquella inside the villa where they stayed in Mexico.

Hundreds of family and friends gathered to say their farewell on November 13 for her funeral.
