Several people injured in road traffic accident in Orange Walk

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Several people have reportedly been severely injured in a road traffic accident in the Orange Walk district.

Reports are that around 8:00 p.m. an orange Dodge Caliber coming from Orange Walk headed in the direction of Belize City hit two people on bicycles passing Bats Landing before reaching Carmelita Village. The vehicle then flipped, injuring those inside.

Eyewitnesses tell Breaking Belize News (BBN) that repeated attempts were made to contact emergency medical assistance but those efforts were unsuccessful for some time before help arrived.

Details on the number of people injured and the degree of their injuries are still forthcoming.
