By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Ghana got past South Korea 3-2 in a high-octane game in Group H at Education City Stadium in Doha in front of 43,983 fans.

Mohammed Salisu opened the score in the 24th minute and Mohammed Kudus made it 2-0 in the 34th minute.

South Korea had been playing better than Ghana up to the first goal. They regained their composure in the second half and in a span of three minutes drew level. Guesung Cho converted two spectacular headers in the 58th and the 61st minutes.

But today Ghana were not to be outdone and Kudus struck again in the 68th minute.

South Korea pressed up to the last minute of the ten added but couldn’t get past goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi again for Ghana to triumph 3-2.

Ghana now total three points remaining hopeful of qualifying when they meet Uruguay in their final first round match on Friday.

The other Group H match has Portugal playing Uruguay at 1:00 pm at the Lusail Stadium in Al Daayen.
