2022 FIFA World Cup: Ghana edge past South Korea 3-2

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Ghana got past South Korea 3-2 in a high-octane game in Group H at Education City Stadium in Doha in front of 43,983 fans.

Mohammed Salisu opened the score in the 24^th minute and Mohammed Kudus made it 2-0 in the 34^th minute.

South Korea had been playing better than Ghana up to the first goal. They regained their composure in the second half and in a span of three minutes drew level. Guesung Cho converted two spectacular headers in the 58^th and the 61^st minutes.

But today Ghana were not to be outdone and Kudus struck again in the 68^th minute.

South Korea pressed up to the last minute of the ten added but couldn’t get past goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi again for Ghana to triumph 3-2.

Ghana now total three points remaining hopeful of qualifying when they meet Uruguay in their final first round match on Friday.

The other Group H match has Portugal playing Uruguay at 1:00 pm at the Lusail Stadium in Al Daayen.
