By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City resident who turned 18 years old today was arraigned in court for a crime he is accused of committing while he was still a minor.
Delroy Reynolds appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court charged with a single count of burglary.
No plea was taken in from Reynolds as the prosecutor explained that he awaits further instruction from the Director of Public Prosecutions given the fact that Reynolds is no longer a minor. The matter was later sent to family court for further instruction and Reynolds was released on bail.
Reynolds is accused of breaking into the home of a 39-year-old Belize City businesswoman and stealing a total of $50,000 in cash that was stashed in a school bag. The bag also contained the complainant’s passport.
The incident occurred on November 23.
