By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man charged with a robbery back in 2014, pleaded guilty to the offense in the Supreme Court this week.
Twenty-nine-year-old Justin Faber appeared before Justice Susan Lamb on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to the armed robbery of businessman Randolph Herbert.
Faber told the court that he was sorry for his actions and has since dedicated his life to becoming a role model for his five children and is supporting his family as an entrepreneur. He also called two witnesses to testify of his good character.
Justice Lamb reserved sentencing until December 7.
In January 2014, Herbert told police that he was in Hattieville when Faber emerged from some bushes and came toward shim. He said that Faber grabbed him by the neck and took him into some bushes, where they struggled, then another man came with a firearm and they robbed him of his wallet.
Herbert said that he saw the men throw away the wallet before making their escape and upon recovering it he learned that his ATM card had been stolen.
The second man involved in the robbery was never found.
