By Aaron Humes: Gavin Arnold, 40, of Lords’ Bank, Belize District, was at work this morning when he unwittingly met up with gunfire in the Gill Street area of Port Loyola, Belize City.
According to police, Arnold and two others were taking a break from cleaning drains along the street when two men aboard a motorcycle turned into the street from Fabers Road and pulled up in front of them.
The men were sitting in front of a residence (which we will not directly identify) that has seen much violence in recent years, and this time the passenger aboard the motorcycle jumped off and opened fire on them.
Arnold was injured in the central lower back but is stabilized at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Investigations by police continue.
