International News: 10 middle school students in Los Angeles treated for possible overdose of “cannabis edibles”

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Thursday, 10 students from Van Nuys Middle School in Los Angeles, California, were evaluated for suspected overdoses, CBS News reports.

The children were between the ages of 12 and 15 years old. Seven of them were transported to the hospital for medical treatment and 3 released on scene.

Authorities are yet to confirm what the students may have consumed.

At this time, officials believe that it may have been “cannabis edibles.”

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the school after 10am and by noon 10 students were being treated for mild symptoms.
