Taiwan Technical Mission and Peacework Belize sign MOU for empowered women training

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, December 2, 2022, Robert Pan, Chief of Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr. Carol Babb, Executive Director of Peacework Belize.

The stakeholders are collaborating to implement the project of “Empowered and Resilient Women Training” which will provide 50 female entrepreneurs with training to create and manage their own business as well as assist them with key financial concept.

The initiative project is under the framework of Women Empowerment Project, which collaborated between the Government of Belize, Taiwan Embassy and Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize.

“Taiwan will continue to cooperate with the Government of Belize to improve women’s capacity building in Belize and to enhance the benefits of our two peoples,” the Taiwan Embassy in Belize said.
