Premier League of Belize Final between Altitude & Verdes postponed due to rain, pitch condition; Gilharry 7, Supa G entertain fans

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The second and definitive leg of the Premier League of Belize Finals between Altitude and Verdes was postponed due to rain and the condition of pitch at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence.

The match was scheduled to be played at 7:30 pm on Saturday to determine the Opening Championship but it rained before the match and at the time it was supposed to start delaying it until 8:30. After a while it was called off as the pitch was water laden.

That however didn’t stop the fans from enjoying the music of Gilharry 7 and Supa G who went ahead with their performance which had been slated for after the match.

Altitude said that whenever it is played again it will be at no charge.

Then PLB’s Organizing Committee is expected to meet with the two clubs on Monday to reschedule the match.

The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio on Sunday, November 27.
