Traffic accident reported near Fresh Pond, Belize District

By Benjamin Flowers: There was a road traffic accident in the northern Belize District a short while ago.

Reports are that a vehicle was turning into the Fresh Pond community outside of Burrell Boom, when a motorcycle coming from the direction of Hattieville approached at high speed.

Eyewitnesses say the vehicle attempted to avoid the motorcycle; however, there was a collision and the rider was knocked off.

The rider was taken for medical attention.
