2022 FIFA World Cup: Neymar confirmed for Brazil today against South Korea

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Brazil’s talisman Neymar has been confirmed for today’s Round of 16 match against South Korea.

The Brazilian playmaker suffered an ankle injury in the second half of the first match against Serbia on Thursday, November 24 and had to sit out next two games. He trained with the team for the first time on Monday and today he has been confirmed in the lineup and has already warmed up with the starting eleven at the Stadium 974 in Doha for the match that kicks off at 1:00 pm.

Brazil have lost Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles to injury for the remainder of the World Cup. Jesus will need a three-month recovery.

The winners of today’s match will play Croatia, who qualified earlier in a penalty kick shootout over Japan, in the quarterfinals.

Brazil: Alisson; Danilo, Marquinhos, Silva, Militao, Casemiro, Paqueta, Raphinha, Neymar, Vinicius, Richarlison

South Korea: Seung-Gyu, Jin-Su, Kim Min-Jae, Woo-Young, Moon-Hwan, Young-Gwon, Hwang Inbeom, Jae-Sung, Hwang, Cho, Son
