By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing says that works for Phase II of the raising of the existing pavement on the western approach of the Roaring Creek Bridge on the George Price Highway will be undertaken beginning December 2022 through to March 2023.
“These works are necessary for the continued development of a safe approach to the bridge, especially in times of emergencies and natural disasters,” the Ministry noted.
The road from the western approach of the Roaring Creek Bridge is currently closed to all traffic.
Motorists are asked to use the existing diversions.
Detour signs are in place and drivers are urged to adhere to caution signs, reduce speed when approaching the bridge, and follow the traffic signs to ensure safety.
The Ministry says that in order to expedite the process, work will be ongoing during normal working hours as well as during the nighttime, up to 10:00 p.m.
The ministry thanked the public for their kind cooperation.
