By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The PLB Final between Altitude and Verdes scheduled for tonight Thursday at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence/Mango Creek has been postponed for a second time.
Match Commissioner Marlon Tillett travelled to Independence this morning to assess the situation. After midday, he made the call that the conditions were not suitable for the match to be played this evening.
The match was initially scheduled for last Saturday, but it was called off because the pitch was too wet.
After the two teams were unable to reach an agreement on the rescheduling of the match, the PLB Organizing Committee decided it should be played on Thursday night. The Committee said that if it were not possible because of similar conditions as last Saturday, that the match would be rescheduled for Sunday in Belmopan at the FFB Stadium.
Verdes agreed but Altitude said they deserve for the match to be played in Independence and that they will not play in Belmopan.
