Belize Water Services warns of theft of water meters in Orange Walk

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Belize Water Services (BWS) issued a statement saying that it is aware of numerous cases of water meters being removed and/or stolen from customers in the Black Water area in the Orange Walk District over the recent months.

BWS says that the company has the serial numbers for all the meters that have been stolen.

“Please be reminded that these water meters are the sole property of BWS, and it is considered theft to remove them. Any individual caught with any stolen meter will be reported to the police with the intention of persecution to the full extent of the Laws of Belize,” BWS warned.

Anyone with information can report it to BWS or to the Belize Police Department.
