International News: U.S. could impose new sanctions on Russia, China

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Thursday, U.S. officials confirmed that the United States plans to impose new sanctions against Russia and China, Reuters report.

The sanctions against Russia will be implemented due to its use of Iranian drones in the war against Ukraine.

Some 170 Chinese entities will also be sanctioned for illegal fishing in the Pacific amid concerns that China is over-fishing and using its fishing fleet to expand Beijing’s maritime influence.

The United States has also condemned Iran’s export of military drones to Russia for their use against Ukraine.
