By Rubén Morales Iglesias: England drew level with France as the second half got started in the last Quarterfinal at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

Harry Kane fiercely fired a penalty kick in the 54^th minute past French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to tie the ball game at 1-1.

After France took the lead in the first half, England had an urgency to level the match and pushed forward as the second half started, forcing a penalty kick converted by their captain, who now has two goals and three assists in this edition of the World Cup. Total, Kane now has 8 goals in the World Cup having scored six the last time out.

France’s goal came in the 17^th minute after a series of passes concluded midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni unleashing a power shot from outside the penalty area beating English goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The winners of this match will play Morocco, who beat Portugal 1-0, in the Semifinals.
