2022 FIFA World Cup: World Champions France battle England at 1:00 pm for a semifinal ticket

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: World Champions France led by the tournament’s top scorer Kylian Mbappé battle England in the final Quarterfinal match at 1:00 pm at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

Both have been playing at a good level so far in the world championships.

According to the betting odds, France are favourites to advance to the semifinals, but underdogs have proven those odds wrong the entire tournament. Led by captain Harry Kane who has turned more of a provider than a scorer in this tournament, England stand a good chance against Les Blues. Kane has made three assists so far.

While France have made things look easy, with Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann playing at top level, England have also been able to reach this point in a similar manner. While Mbappé has five goals, Marcus Rashford is not doing bad himself, having scored three times.

Expect an intense, great-paced high-level game.
