By Rubén Morales Iglesias: World Champions France are leading 1-0 over England at the half in the last Quarterfinal match at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

In the 17^th minute, the French made a series of passes before making a backward pass to midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni who unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area beating English goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Other than that, the first half was rather even between the two European sides, but France looked more comfortable and relaxed. England have the urgency of having to even the score if they want to stay alive.

Expect a much better second half.

The winners of this match will play Morocco, who beat Portugal 1-0, in the Semifinals.
