Taiwan Ambassador and U.S. Ambassador discuss support for Belize

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, December 9, 2022, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, David Kuan-Chou Chien met with U.S. Ambassador to Belize, Michelle Kwan.

Ambassador Kwan and Ambassador Chien discussed how to work together with Belizean partners to advance Belize’s national development and people’s welfare.

“The Embassy took the opportunity to extend its appreciation to the U.S. for the rock-solid support for Taiwan based on the shared values of freedom, democracy and human rights,” the Taiwan Embassy in Belize said.

Since her arrival in Belize, Ambassador Kwan has met with the Minister of National Defence and Border Security, Florencio Marin Jr. and Deputy Prime Minister, Cordel Hyde.
