Texas father and son robbed on Baymen Avenue

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the robbery of a father and son on Saturday on Baymen Avenue in the King’s Park area of Belize City.

According to police, Hans Anderson, 57, and his son Aaron, 24, both of Converse, Texas, told them that they had left Midtown Restaurant along Newtown Barracks and had walked up to Baymen Avenue. Approaching Sumathi Indian Restaurant two men approached, one of whom was armed.

The unarmed man stole from the father and son their identifying documents including a passport in the father’s name and the son’s driver’s license, an iPod, credit cards and cash before escaping down the street next to the Indian restaurant.
