Belize City man charged for stabbing man with an ice pick

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison after stabbing a man in the back with an ice pick.

Forty-seven-year-old Sheldon Stuart appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court charged with a single count of aggravated assault upon Vincent Wade.

He pleaded not guilty to the offense and since there was no objection to bail it was granted to him in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same.

However, Stuart was not able to meet bail and was remanded until he is able to do so. He is due back in court on February 9, 2023.

Reports are that Stuart and Wade got into an altercation back in October, and Wade walked away. He reported to police that while his back was turned to Stuart, he felt a burning sensation in his upper back and faced Stuart to find him holding an ice pick.
