By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 29-year-old Belize City businessman charged with committing robbery eight years ago was spared prison time when he appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court.

Justin Faber, charged with the armed robbery of a man back in January 2014, changed his not guilty plea to guilty and was sentenced to a four-year-suspended sentence.

During his suspended sentence, Faber must ensure that he abides by all the court’s stipulations and refrain from getting arrested for any other offense or he will have to spend the full term in prison.

He was also ordered to pay $500 to the victim and has a year to do so.

In court, Faber expressed remorse for his action and told the court he has changed his life and that he will not return to violence as he has children of his own and is also a step-father to three other children.
