2022 FIFA World Cup: Mexican referee César Arturo Ramos Palazuelos will officiate the second Semifinal of the FIFA World Cup between Morocco and France Semifinal.
The match will kick off at 1:00 pm at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor on Wednesday, December 14.
This is Ramos’ second consecutive World Cup. Apart from his participation in the Russia World Cup in 2018, Ramos officiated the 2017 Club World Cup final between Spain’s Real Madrid and Brazil’s Gremio.
Ramos has officiated three games at this World Cup: Morocco’s 2-0 win over Belgium, Tunisia’s 0-0 draw with Denmark, and Portugal’s 6-1 rout of Switzerland in the Round of 16. He is going to be assisted by compatriots Alberto Morin and Miguel Hernandez.
He has dished out seven yellow cards.
Since 1970, 12 Mexican referees have been called to officiate at the World Cup and since 1986, four Mexican referees have blown Semifinal games.
