By Breaking Belize News Staff: Twenty-five-year-old Ricky Chambers, who had his bail revoked on October 1, was again granted bail in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week.
Chambers, who was charged with the 2021 burglary of Belize Telemedia Limited’s Ladyville branch, appeared unrepresented in court, pleading to have his revoked bail granted back to him. The prosecutor in the case said that he believed Chambers understands that his freedom is at stake after spending two months in prison, and did not object to the new bail being granted.
Chambers was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same, which he was able to meet. Chambers is required to check in routinely at a police station in Belize City and cannot be arrested for any other offense while out on bail.
On Monday, November 8, 2021, Chambers, along with Selvin Linarez and Jermaine Wagner, were jointly charged with the burglary of the Belize Telemedia Ltd which occurred on Friday, November 5, 2021.
