Belize City man shot overnight in hot corner

By Aaron Humes: One man is being treated for gunshot wounds he sustained unexpectedly early this morning.

A Rodney O’Brien of Antelope Street Extension was travelling on his black Honda Motorcycle on Lakeview Street just before 3 a.m. when he heard a loud bang that sounded like gunshots coming from the direction of Banak Street.

He then received gunshot injuries to the body. He immediately rode up-stop on Cemetery Road into Central American Boulevard heading to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment.

O’Brien remains in hospital and police are seeking the shooter.
