Belize Weather: Fair today, showers on the way

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Generally fair weather prevails according to the National Meteorological Service, but later today skies will be cloudy at times and showers and isolated thunderstorms will see an increase along the coast later tonight.

However, the day starts brightly with sunny skies and cloudy spells and only isolated showers or thunderstorms.

High temperatures peak at 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 79 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots; sea state is light chop.

Tides will be low at 11 a.m. today and two minutes to midnight tonight and high at 5:06 this evening. The sun sets at 5:21 this evening and rises at 6:16 Sunday morning.

Expect a few showers and isolated thunderstorms around the country on Sunday.
