Posted: Saturday, December 17, 2022. 10:08 am CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Health and Wellness is urging those who have not yet been vaccinated to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID-19.

And those that have been vaccinated can get their booster shots.

“As we approach the Christmas holidays, be mindful that Covid-19 is still around and you should take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and your loved one. We still encourage persons to get vaccinated against  COVID-19  ,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry says that the Astrazeneca shot is available for those 18 years and older and the Pfizer for those 12 years old and older. The Jansen and Jansen is also available and any of the 3 vaccines can be used as a booster dose.

When you are vaccinated, you are less likely to get infected, be hospitalized, and suffer severe symptoms.
