Grandfather found guilty of sexually assaulting his six-year-old granddaughter to be sentenced next year

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 68-year-old man found guilty of sexually assaulting his six-year-old granddaughter will be sentenced in the Belize Supreme Court next year.

The man, whose identity has been withheld to protect the child’s identity, appeared in the Supreme Court before Justice Suzan Lamb, charged with two counts, one of sexual assault when the child was only four-years-old, and one of sexual assault by penetration when the child was six.

He was only found guilty of the second count, which reportedly occurred in April 2017.

The convict, who was represented by attorney Richard “Dickie” Bradley, is set to return to court on January 15, 2023.
