Belize Weather: Increase in showers to start Christmas week but mostly fine weather today

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service projects an increase in moisture over the next several days. Today skies will be sunny with some cloudy spells and tonight cloudy at times with a few showers over the south and isolated activity elsewhere.

High temperatures along the coast will be 86 degrees Fahrenheit; 87 degrees over inland areas and 77 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 77 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots; sea state is light chop.

Tides will be low at 12:24 this afternoon then high at 6:25 this evening. The sun sets at 5:22 this evening and rises at 6:17 Tuesday morning.

Expect a few showers over central and some coastal areas on Tuesday, with isolated showers elsewhere, before an increase in activity along the coast on Tuesday night with isolated thunderstorms.
