Roaring Creek shooting victim identified as 35-year-old Daniel Franco

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The man shot in Roaring Creek Village, Cayo district, earlier tonight has been identified as 35-year-old Daniel Franco.

Police say that Franco was traveling on Progressive Avenue towards the George Price Highway when he stopped at an intersection.

While at the intersection an unknown gunman fired shots from inside a black car, hitting him in the stomach just above the hip.

He was taken via ambulance to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police investigations continue.
