O Restaurant Announces Appointment of Executive Chef Darren Pryer

Unrivaled Italian Fare Makes its Appearance at O Restaurant – the Future Best Restaurant in Belize

Contributed–O Restaurant, located within Terrazas Resort & Residences, is pleased to announce the appointment of new Executive Chef Darren Pryer to O Restaurant. With a career spanning more than twenty years across three continents, Chef Darren brings unrivaled expertise to the table. Though we looked near and far and interviewed many capable Belizean chefs over a period of six months, it was Chef Darren’s experience in Italian fare that ultimately caught the attention of O Restaurant. With no other high end Italian restaurants on the island, let alone chefs with Italian influence, someone with Pryer’s expertise was highly sought after. After a highly competitive quest, it was Chef Darren’s creative Italian fare and decades long culinary experience that made him stand out among all other candidates and we are pleased to officially announce his new role at O Restaurant.

The invitation to implement an Italian Restaurant on the resort property immediately appealed to Chef Darren. Now, with his new position underway, he plans to completely revamp the menu with house made pastas including tagliatelle, potato gnocchi, and ravioli in hopes of being the best restaurant in Belize by the end of next year. His experience begs our confidence, as Chef Darren served as Head Chef in Italy before moving upward in various resorts across Central American, the Caribbean, and Euro-Asian islands. Chef Darren’s repertoire is sure to wow the island. 

O Restaurant is located at Las Terrazas Resort, 3.5 miles north of San Pedro and is open to island residents, resort guests, and all visiting tourists. O Restaurant is famous for its many dining possibilities, including its famous al fresco (poolside) seating, as well as indoor and rooftop options. Private dinners are hosted on the Las Terrazas Resort beach for groups of 2-100.
