BREAKING: Hattieville victim identified as Leroy McKoy

By Aaron Humes: Police have confirmed the identity of the man discovered in a shallow grave in Hattieville, Belize District this morning as Leroy McKoy, who was apparently shot to death.

The Hattieville resident’s remains were uncovered at Mile 15 George Price Highway near the Hector Creek Bridge.

McCoy’s brother Roger Trapp indicated to police that this morning at around 8:00 am, he and others became concerned of the whereabouts of Leroy Mckoy as he had not been seen since Monday night around 8:00 pm.

Trapp then launched a search party along the George Price Highway and discovered what appeared to be a shallow grave and immediately called the police and reported the matter.

McKoy’s body now awaits a Post Mortem Examination. Police investigations continue.
