Interact Club of Sacred Heart College raises $1,100 for restoration of The Belize Zoo

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Interact Club of Sacred Heart College says that on November 16, 2022, it hosted a fundraiser that successfully garnered $1,100 toward the restoration and rebuilding of the best little zoo in the world, The Belize Zoo.

“We hope that these funds will help, even in the slightest, towards reconstructing the habitats and homes of our beloved animals,” the Interact club said.

In addition, the club is encouraging everyone to assist by visiting the Belize Zoo.

“There are also other ways citizens can help in this restoration. By taking a visit to the recently reopened @belizezoo and keeping our favorite animals company! Surely they must miss seeing us, as much as we miss seeing them,” the club added.

The Belize Zoo re-opened on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

The Belize Zoo thanks all volunteers and generous donors for joining efforts in restoration works.
