International News: DEA says Sinaloa cartel dominates U.S. fentanyl supply

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) released new statistics indicating that the agency confiscated 379 million doses of fentanyl in 2022, Latin Post reports.

The agency says that the Sinaloa cartel is responsible for the influx of the drug into the U.S.

The DEA says that the confiscated amount is enough to kill every American.

Doctors usually prescribe the drug as a painkiller but fentanyl mixed into street drugs by Mexican drug cartels is deadly.
